On 2 October 2026, Khok Chan’s disaster-prevention and mitigation team, under Mayor Nirut Ketkun and the municipal executive team, installed danger and no-swimming signs at local risk areas. Deep water and strong currents can threaten lives, especially those of children and young people. Residents are asked to keep away from these areas and supervise children closely.
